Mathematical Modelling competition

Prepare yourselves for for the next stage in Infinitics 5 Mathematical Modelling Competition.  

For those of you who have not succeeded yet, do not be discouraged and keep doing your best on your next opportunities!

We appreciate every hard work all participants have done to solve the mathematical modelling problems and make great posters. For the teams who can’t continue to the next stage, we are wishing the best for you and we believe there are many opportunities for you in the future. We would like to thank you for your participation and hard work in Infinitics 5. 

We also would like to invite all participants of Infinitics 5 Mathematical Modelling Competition to join us on our series of events, “Webinar: The A.B.C. of Mathematics” and “Talkshow: Life at Math UPH” which will be held on October 23 and 29, 2021.  

Here are some technical informations for the Final Stage of Infinitics 5 Mathematical Modelling: 

  1. Each finalist must prepare a paper and presentation file based on the problem and detailed explanation of the poster's content that has been made within 5 working days, starting from the day of the finalists announcement (September 27 - October 1, 2021). Participants must include all references which they have used. 

  2. Finalists must write a 1-page executive summary after the title page. 

  3. Soft Copy of documents are sent to Infinitics 5’s email ( in the format stated in Technical Regulations for Final Stage of Mathematical Modelling’s. 

  4. The soft copy of documents must be sent before October 1, 2021 at 23:59 (UTC+7). Late submission will get a penalty of 40 points.  

  5. Late submission limit is on October 2, 2021 at 23:59 (UTC+7). If the tardiness exceeds the late submission limit, the group will be immediately disqualified. 

  6. Each participant in groups must prepare 1 gadget (with a camera) for presentation. 

  7. Presentation will be held on Saturday, 30 October 2021.
